1. Base cloth material

When designing a ton bag, you must first understand the weight of the loaded goods, and determine the volume of the ton bag according to the specific gravity of the packaged material. Also see if the loaded material is a sharp, sturdy lump of material. If so, the base fabric should be thicker when designing the ton bag, otherwise it can be thinner. In actual design, (150-170) G/m2 base fabric is generally used for ton bags with a load of 500 kg, the longitudinal and lateral tensile strength of the base fabric is (1470-1700) N/5cm, and the elongation is 20-35%. Big bags weighing more than 1000 kg. The base fabric is generally selected (170~210) G/m2. The longitudinal and transverse tensile strength of the base fabric is (1700-2000) N/5cm, and the elongation is 20~35%.

2. Structural Design

When designing the ton bag structure, the strength of the conventional belt in the national code should be more than twice the strength of the base cloth, but the design effect is not good in practice. Because the strength of the base fabric and the waistband are different, the base fabric will crack first. In the design, the waistband and base should have opposite strength bases to prevent this problem.

In addition, when sewing big bags, it is required that the stitching thread should be made of polyester thread with a strength of more than 18kg to ensure that the sewing strength meets the national standard.

4. Monofilament strength

In order to ensure the strength of the ton bag base cloth, the tensile strength of the flat wire needs to be increased. The strength of the flat wire should be above 0.4N/tex, and the elongation should be 15-30%. In the actual production process, the amount of filler masterbatch needs to be strictly controlled, generally around 2%. If the masterbatch is added too much or recycled material is added, the strength of the base fabric will decrease. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control the quality of raw materials, and the ton bags use drawing raw materials consumed by on-orbit manufacturers whose melt index reaches the national standard.
